Resteraunt Week

Soooo it was resteraunt week in Denver this week and Johnny and I got to go out to dinner with Jody and Todd. It was a blast! Had an amazing Fillet Minon (Spelling).. And a yummy chocolate dessert. Macady went over to Jordan and Larissa's house and they babysat for a couple hours for us! It is sooooo wonderful to have good friends! We love them to death!

Kevin took Tessa the same morning and it was pretty emotional.. :( I cried pretty good when they left.. I have such a big heart for animals.. And it isn't just dogs, its all of God's creatures.. They all seem to tug at my heart strings.. But she is happy back in Vernal and will be well taken care of.. :) Chloe is doing well. She got a new doggy bed today and she was pretty excited about it.

Macady has officially mastered the roll over from tummy to back. She really has no desire to go from back to tummy yet. But I am sure that it is all a matter of time. She is sooo wiggly all the time I'm betting that she will be crawling and walking AHHHHH... :)

We close on our house on the 5th and will be moving in on the 8th and 9th! It's crazy that it went so fast! But I can't wait to get in it and get things put away again! :/

Macady had her first taste of cereal tonight! She liked it! We had a mess but she is ready for food! :)

She is getting so big! :)

Winter Wonderland and a new home and a little dancing

So..... Today is a white out blizzard! Kevin came out for the weekend and he looks to be staying an extra day because of the snow storm! :) Hopefully it will keep snowing and Johnny can have a snow day tomorrow! :) Well I guess I can probably let everyone know that we are under contract to buy a Condo/Townhome. It's only across the street from our current apartment so it isn't far but we are pretty excited! It will be nice to have our little own place that we can do with what we please.  It's the same size as our apartment but serveral upgrades. New granite counter tops new carpet bigger kitchen and such. We are excited. We'll be posting pictures in a few weeks. We close on the 5th of March and should be moving in the next week! They moved so stinking quick! They do things fast over here! We went and looked at on the 6th of Feb. So it only took one month to get everything done! Way Crazy!! Not looking forward to packing things up.. Thank goodness its only about 1000 yards away or less.. lol.. We will see how Macady takes things moving to a new house.. Hopefully she will be more help than problems! :)

Tessa is going to be going home with Kevin back to Vernal. She is just not the apartment type dog and she is missing the freedom of being outdoors. Mo on the other hand doesn't have such a problem with living in small living quarters. We might get another Mini Schnauzer someday. I like them too much. And they don't shed so it makes life alot easier!! :)

Macady seems to be getting bigger and bigger every day. She is getting so much more personality and Sass! She is a little stinker! She has her next doctors appointment on the 11th of March and she gets to start eating Rice and Oatmeal. I will be curious to see how much she has grown this time. She fills out almost all of her 6 month clothes already. Everyone always comments on how big she is for her age.

So we taught country swing dancing to the youth in our ward a few weeks ago and we had an absolute blast!! The kids did amazing and it was sooo much fun! I think we even got a couple of babysitters out of the deal! :) We are hoping that we will do a follow up and teach the group a few more moves! It makes me miss dancing so much! That's what made me fall in love with my husband and it gives me butterflies every time we do it! I can't help that I am a hopeless romantic.. :( Always have been always will be! Loving and thoughtful surprises seem to always get me.. :) But anyways.. That's it for now..

Macady is starting to roll over. She needs just a little encouragement but she is so close. And she is also sitting up with assistance! She is a little wobbly but she starts to fall forward and then pops herself right back. She is better at catching herself going forward than to the side or back but she is getting the hang of it. She likes tummy time but only for a five or so minutes at a time. It's amazing how much she grows every day. She gets more and more personality. Johnny and I are always talking about what she is going to be like when she gets bigger. What sports she's going to play, what she will like. I forgot to post some of the pictures I took of her on Valentines Day. She looked pretty cute! :)

A Little love and Swimming

Two days leading up to Valentines Day I decided to catch the 24 hour flu.. Yeah not by choice! It was HORRIBLE! I couldn't even walk! Johnny had to come home from work early and stay home the next day with me! I couldn't even pick Macady up I was horrified that I might drop her! Thankfully by Wednesday night I was starting to feel better. Johnny decided to take us to the movie on Valentines day and took us to see SafeHaven. It was a really good book and I was glad to see the movie. I was worried how well it would go with Macady because she has been so fussy lately, but sure enough she was an angel! We even got a compliment that she was so well behaved! So that was nice! Macady got alot of cards and a super cute outfits from Grandma Lesha and Grandma Judy. She is just a little spoiled. I suppose that is why she hasn't been sleeping lately. She used to sleep all night and then she has all the sudden decided she doesn't want to do that any more. She gets so tired and knocks out in our arms. We lay her down and she POPS her eyes wide open and will NOT go to sleep. She will stay up till midnight cooing and talking. She has found her voice lately and likes to scream. Not a mad scream just a "I'm so excited, I'm going to make sure everyone knows it" scream. It's not always so pleasent to say the least. Lol. I don't know what we are going to do with her. The only way she will sleep is with me on the futon in her room or inbetween Johnny and I in our bed.. She has us whooped I guess. But I sure hope it won't be for long because I do Not want her in my bed! I keep telling myself it's just because she is teething. She will be 4 Months old this month. She is getting really big. Her next doctors appointment is on the 11th of March and we get to start her on Rice. I know is ready for it because she always opens her mouth to anything you put towards her. Lol. She is pretty funny..

Today we decided to take Macady swimming for the first time! She always loves bath time every night so much we thought she would have a good time in the big pool. They have a salt water pool at the gym so we decided to try it out! Macady was thrilled! She loved it.. Not exactly showing it in the pictures but she was! :) Don't mind me in my swimming suit! Not quite ready for swim suit weather! But we are getting there!

We signed up for the Colorado Athletic Club two weeks ago and it has been awesome! They have the coolest things there.. Pools, tennis courts (indoor and out), Day care, yoga, a million pieces of equipment. We are set. Macady isn't so sure about being away from mom. But she is getting the hang of it. They have lots of toys she can play with and they put her in a Toy Play Saucer and she loved it! So of course we had to go and get her one!

When we first bought it she couldn't touch the bottom just yet so we put a pillow so she could. But now she can touch on her tippy toes so I know she is growing again.. Little stinker.. She also has been drooling all over the place and chewing on anything she can get her hands on. Including her hands she likes to suck on them any chance she gets.
My mom was able to come out for a week and she brought my Grandma Roth along as well! It was sooooo nice to have them out for a while! It makes me miss them sooo much more when they leave though.. While they were out here the weather was aweful which was sad because the week before we were in the high 60's almost 70 degree weather! So we didn't ge to get out and do as much as we would have liked but we did go do a few things!

While they were out we decided to go get Macady's ears pierced! Ahhhh it was a little nerv raking for me but I know I wanted to do it! So we took her to Clairs at the mall and did it! Great Grandma Roth bought her earrings and my mom was nice enough to hold her so I didn't! Lol. She was more mad about the being held down than she was about getting them pierced! They sure do look pretty though!

Blessing Day

Macady was blessed on January 6th 2013 by her Daddy in our Stonegate Ward in Colorado. All of our family was able to come out and spend the weekend with us. We went to the Aquarium for dinner on Saturday night and it was alot of fun!

A little story behind Macady's blessing dress... It was my wedding dress.. My mother and I decided that we would cut up my wedding dress and make it a mini of mine! It turned out beautifully and it fit perfect! She looked beautiful in it! She was a champ too! She slept through the whole thing! Once again soooo grateful for the gospel and the blessings it brings into our lives!

After Sacrament everyone came over to our apartment and we had sandwiches before everyone headed back home. I always get really sad when everyone has to go home. It has been the hardest part about living in Denver is being away from my family. Family is everything and it is hard not having them so close to me. It's wonderful to have the technology we have to be able to Facetime and talk on the phone every day!

My Birth Story Part 2

So after my water broke my contractions became horrific! I am so impressed with women that can do labor with no drugs. No way was that going through my mind! I wanted and epidural and now! About an hour later the Anaesthesiologist came in and started my epidural. After 2 failed attempts the 3rd time was a charm. It wasn't painful at all other than the contracts so I was good! After the juice was flowing I was in heaven! I finally got to eat a few Popsicles.. Thank heavens! And since my water was broke they couldn't do the Cytotec any more and we had to move back to the Pitocin. Everyone thought for sure that things would start to move faster now! Around 12 the doctor came in to check on me. Anyone wanna guess how dilated I was.... Drum roll please... NOTHING! The same I was the last time.. My contractions were off the charts but nothing moving in the right direction! And Macady was moving even less. So I was put on a sugar drip and Oxygen and had to lay on my left side. I started to get really tired.

At 4:30 in the after noon my doctor returned once again. She checked one more time to see how things were moving and sure enough still nothing. I was stuck. She said that we were at the end of the rope and we needed to get this baby out. Clearly something was wrong. I agreed. She left my room to get us scheduled for a C-Section that night. She returned within 5 minutes followed by 3 nurses and the "Juice Doctors". She said they were taking me back right now. Thankfully I was given the time to have Johnny and my dad give me a blessing before we moved forward with anything else. I felt the comfort I needed and Heavenly Father was holding my hand telling me that everything would be ok. They turned up my epidural so I couldn't feel anything from my waist down.. I must admit that that is a very strange feeling.. Johnny got gowned up and we were ready to go!

I was wheeled back into the surgery room where they got me all prepped. A few minutes later Johnny came and sat beside me. I have seen a few C-Sections before unfortunatly so I knew everything that was going on down there.. :/ My Juice Dr was right by my head and talking to me the whole time along with my Doctor telling me what was going on and saying that I was doing great.. Tears were coming to my eyes. In a way I felt as though I had failed at bringing my baby into this world on my own. But I was also very grateful to be living in this day in age where we do have modern medicine to step in when needed. Here is where the fun part began.. After what seemed like forever I hear my doctor say and I quote " I don't think I have ever seen that before"........ WHAT?!??!? Seriously I bet you can image the things going through my mind! As I am screaming WHAT WHAT WHATS wrong???? She says nothing she is perfect! She just had her leg over her head and the cord wrapped around her neck and leg twice! There was no way this baby was coming out! She was alll tangled up! Johnny ran over to follow them with the baby and I could hear her screaming at the top of her lungs. I was full of joy and fear all at the same time. I asked its a girl right?? lol.. She was of course a girl. A beautiful healthy girl. Born at 5:02 PM. (It was only 10 Minutes from the time they took me from my room to her being born!) She weighed 7 Pounds 10 Ounces. And 20 1/2 inches long. Perfect in every way!

Johnny took her out to meet every one while I was being put back together. After being washed and dressed they brought her back into me in recovery where I was able to breastfeed right away. She was a champ! Never missing a step. What a blesssing she was in our lives already!

I didn't look so great after crying my eyes out! I had had plans of fixing my hair and doing my make-up after getting out of the tub but when contractions hit and my water broke I didn't get any time!
After about an hour of being in recovery I was finally able to go to our room.

They had my catheder in and leg compressions on until the next morning when I got to get up and start walking around. I was given the Star patient award. :) We had a couple of sleepless nights until my milk came in Saturday night. Macady was a much happier baby after that!
My sister was able to get some really cute newborn pictures while we were in the hospital. Macady pretty much slept the whole time. Which we were all surprised considering we changed her outfit 20 times! She was a trooper! Here are a few of the pictures we were able to catch! Not bad for hospital room lighting! Thanks Chels!

Pretty cute baby girl huh?
We left the hospital Sunday and headed for home!

I healed up well and didn't have any problems which I was very thankful for. Blessings do wonders! I am so grateful that my husband is faithful and has the priesthood! We are very blessed!

My Birth Story Part 1

Here is the story of how my beautiful baby girl came into this world. I had to use some of Johnny's Journal entries to remember some of the things that went on that day.. :) Thanks for a great husband who wrote it all down as it was happening! Here are a couple belly shots before. :)

I went in for my doctors appointment on October 22, in hopes that I would be dialated or thinning out some. I had been walking for several hours a day with the dogs and climbing stairs, I had such a healthy pregnancy with no blood pressure problems, no diabetes, no contractions, nothing! I thought that I had everything in order to deliver this baby as natural as possible! I was ready! Johnny and I had taken birthing classes at the hospital as well as breastfeeding classes so that I was as prepared as possible to succeed! My hospital bag had been packed since I had gone to Vernal for Chelsea's wedding 4 weeks prior. The nursery was ready. Everything was perfect for our little girl to just get here already. I was 3 days away from being a full 40 weeks and I was starting to hurt! My hips were killing me and my back was sore. I never had any swelling thank heavens but my poor belly was stretched to the max!
So at my doctors appointment I had high hopes on having a baby come any day! :) Unfortunatly after being check I was completely closed up! No baby any time soon! So my doctor asked if we would like to schedule an induction date just to be on the schedule incase baby decided she didn't want to come on her own. I said yes please! I was ready to have her already! We have waited long enough! So we booked to be induced the following evening.

My mom and sister drove out on Tuesday so they could be here with me as well. We had a "Final Supper" so to speak and I had requested Steak! :) Shocker I know..
We got to the hospital around 9 and were getting all the final paperwork filled out. And got check into our room. (Sounds like we were staying at a hotel.. We kinda were!)

 Ready for BABY!!

This is the monitor I was hooked up on. The doctors noticed that she didn't have much movement but it wasn't a huge concern because her heart rate was still great. (Notice I was having contractions! YAY! I couldn't feel them yet though)

I was started on a drug called Cervadil for the first night. It's a string that is inserted so that if it becomes too much for the baby to handle they can take it out. We got to sleep, as much as we could considering I had to pee about every hour and Johnny had to help me get up because I was hooked up to so many cords! Needless to say we didn't get very much sleep and being the stubborn one that I am I declined the Ambien to get some much needed rest. The doctor came in in the morning of Wednesday and checked us again. NOTHING!!! Not a dang thing! What the heck! Soooo the next drug was pulled out and I was put on Pitocin around 8 that morning. Through-out the day the doctors came in and kept having to move me around because Macady wasn't moving very much. They kept mentioning it but said it wasn't a huge worry at the moment. Needless to say I was starving after going for more than 24 hours with out eating it was not fun. I was checked a couple times throughout the day and still nothing... I sent Johnny to go and get some food around 8:30 that night and before he even made it out the hospital doors the doctor that was on call came in and looked over my contraction list (Not sure what that is called) and said that she was concerned about Macady and she said I needed to go back for a C-section soon. I about had a heart attack! I called Johnny and he came running back up to the room. I was devistated and didn't really know what to think. I knew that a C-section was always a possiblity when it comes to having a baby but it never hit me that it could possibly happen to me! After talking to my sister and mom and nurse the doctor came back in and we discussed other options because I just wasn't ready to jump to surgery just yet. She finally said that it would be ok for now but it was something that I really needed to think about.. She recommended that we start a drug called Cytotec* next. After being given the first dose of that, I had to keep getting a new dose every 4 hours. So we were preparing for another night. I asked if I could have the Ambien this time to help me get some more sleep and of course they said I couldn't because it could make Macady move less than she already was... Of course that was just my luck. Thankfully I slept better than the night before. My dad left that night to come out because I told him I wanted him out here as soon as possible. He drove all night and showed up around 1:30 in the morning. He came in my room to wake me up to tell me that he had made it and that he loved me.. Scared the crap out of me but I was sooooo glad to see my dad! I am a total Daddy's Girl. Johnny was a little out of it and didn't even remember my dad coming in.

The next morning Thursday October 25th, another new doctor came in to check me and talk to us. After a long night of talking with my Amazing nurse and Johnny I finally decided that we would have to do the C-section. My doctor sat down and really talked to me about what was going on. That she was concerned about her movement but where he heart rate was good she wasn't ready to jump on the c-section like the Dr the night before was. She went ahead and checked me and still NOTHING!!! She said I wasn't even a 1. Talk about Failure! She told me to go ahead and shower and get cleaned up and then they would start me on another dose of the cytotec. So Johnny (My love) helped me into the tub and I took a nice bath. About halfway through I started to feel a few contractions.. WHAT!!! I was feeling things! :) I thought oh ya here we go! I told Johnny I kinda felt like I was peeing in the tub! He gave me a funny look and I said I'm really peeing in the tub! It might be my water breaking! So I hurried (Pregnant fat lady hurried) and got out. As I was drying off and getting my lovely hospital gown back on the contractions began to get hard! I couldn't even stand up! All I wanted to do was pull my hair back and I couldn't do it fast enough! I thought in my mind for sure I went from a 1 to a 10 in 30 minutes! I walked/waddled out of the bath room and started to get to the bed as my nurse came in and asked me how it was. I told her well.... I feel like I am leaking and I am having bad contractions! She said wonderful! Lets get you in bed! So she put the extra towels down and said she was going to check me one last time before she put the cytotec in. As she did so POP! And there went my water! I wet my bed and all I could do was appologize! She was like stop saying that! Thats what we want to happen! :) LOL..

Playing Catch Up 1

So... It's been a while since I have started and written in my blog.. But today I made the decision to start becoming more faithful with it.. More or less to keep my own sanity these days..

Sooooo.... Let's play a little catch up since my last post like 2 years ago! Yikes.Around November 2011 we got word that Johnny was being put in for a work transfer to be moved to Denver Colorado. We kind of knew the time would come when we would be moving for his job it would just a matter of when. So his company told us to put our house up for sale and try to get it sold as soon as we could.. So we did.. We sold our house on January 18, 2012 and we still had no offer to move we were just told to "Not get into any contracts or loans" Yeah ok.. So good thing we had family! We decided that moving in with my parents would be the best choice.. If any thing just to save some money. So we moved in.. And on February 12th... We found out we were pregnant! Talk about good timing huh! Yeah NOT! :) But we were overjoyed to have a little one come into our family!

Unfortunatly I went the rounds on puking every day several times a day.. So I had to make sure to never have an empty stomach or that made it worse. As I got into my second tri I was feeling amazing! The first of June we found out that we were having a beautiful baby girl! We couldn't be more excited! (Or I couldn't at least!) We decided to name her Macady Anne Hacking. It's been one of my favorite names since I was a little girl. Anne comes from my grandma's middle name and my best friends' middle name as well.

June 2012 we finally got word on a transfer and we were able to get a date to move! AUGUST! Johnny and I travelled out to Denver to find a place to live and decided we would get an apartment for the time being until we figured out where we really wanted to be! Our move in date was set for August 18th. Yay for being pregnant and moving! Oh Joy..
(39 Weeks Pregnant, Last picture before going to the hospital)

We got all moved into our new home and we had to go back to Vernal in September for my sister's wedding. Only 4 weeks till D-Day we were cutting it close. Not to mention me walking down her aisle with my big ol belly! But we managed..

I got the nursery all finished and we were packed for a delivery at anytime.

Macady came into the world on October 25th, 2012. See My Birth Story for the full version.
